My name is Susan Hearn, owner of Kernow Special Memories. In my 14 years of working in the funeral profession, I have succeeded whilst working in many roles including Memorial Consultant, Crematorium Manager and Funeral officiant. I’m empathic, compassionate and enthusiastic ensuring that everything I undertake is done to the best of my ability and to the satisfaction of my Clients.
I know there are a lot of people who are becoming Civil Celebrants but I believe that I have the experience and the drive to set me apart from everyone else and I can offer more within my services by taking it a step further from just taking the service. I want to be on hand from beginning to end to assist you and to be a friendly sympathetic face when you need it most and assist you with your needs. I can liaise with a Crematorium direct on the arrangements if a family is conducting the whole service themselves.
My family is really important to me. I have a husband, Steve who I have been married to for over 10 years and three Children Alex 9, Abigail 5 and Andrew not yet 1.
As well as setting up my own business, I also manage another family business which is a shop on a caravan park part owned by my Mum so I have business planning and excellent work ethic in my blood. After the birth of my third baby, I resigned as Crematorium Manager due to spend more time with my children and to follow a different path. I want to be able to help people with my past experience, knowledge & expertise on a difficult subject at one of the most difficult times in their lives. I believe I will be able to give some advice in the early stages of bereavement and would be advantageous to anybody who is unsure how to proceed with the difficult arrangements that are required.
I can choose poems to suit a loved one and choose careful words which are different and unique to each person. I can cater to your every need right from the start.
